A Chinese retiree is suing over a house in Burnaby she alleges her husband's mistress bought with money the man secretly funneled to her from their joint family savings.

The man couldn't afford to go on a vacation with his online mistress, so he tried to get their flights cancelled by tipping off police about a non-existent hijack plot.
