A fire at a residence on Meadowview Road on Sept. 24 claimed the life of one person. The OFM says there was no working smoke alarm in the unit.

Officers responded to reports of a vehicle knocking down a tree in the area of Meadowview and Bramble roads early Friday. Police say the driver was determined to be impaired.
