There's been growing concern in Lethbridge in recent weeks over discarded needles being left behind by drug users in public places.

An online petition with several hundred signatures is calling on the City of Lethbridge and the organization that runs the city's supervised drug consumption site to keep needles on the property after needles have been found in public parks around the city.
