The Ottawa Redblacks have acquired the rights to Canadian linebacker Kevin Francis from the Edmonton Elks for a fourth-round pick in the 2024 CFL draft.

The Edmonton Elks made a trade for a local product on Sunday along with suspending two veteran players on the first day of training camp and 2023 CFL season.
