Jim Wickett was nominated for the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal after he was charged with assaulting his wife and possessing a firearm without a licence.

Jim Wickett, treasurer and secretary and former chairman of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association, a farm advocacy organization, pleaded guilty to assault.
