The Icefields Parkway will be closed from Athabasca Falls to Saskatchewan River Crossing from Wednesday night through to Friday evening, to allow for avalanche control work.

With a "significant snowfall" in the forecast, Parks Canada is closing part of the Icefields Parkway to do avalanche control work.
