Microsoft has announced it will now notify users of its email services if they have been targeted by state sponsored hackers, in the wake of a previously unreported hacking scandal.

Microsoft Corp. acknowledged Thursday it had searched emails in a blogger's Hotmail account to track down who was leaking company secrets.
