Albertans with connections to Haiti are doing what they can to help after the island nation was ravaged by an earthquake and a tropical storm just days apart.

Hurricane Matthew rampaged through Haiti’s western peninsula on Tuesday with 233 kilometre per hour winds and torrential rain.
