School District No. 51 officially opened their newest school Friday, in Senator Joyce Fairbairn Middle School. It's the first step in helping the District tackle enrollment pressure they are experiencing.

David Eggen, Minister of Education, told 630 CHED's Ryan Jespersen, a lot of the curriculum is over 30 years old and it is time for an update.

Eggen died after she crashed into a parked truck during a brief police pursuit June this year.
