Erin O’Connor has started an online petition, calling for McPherson Avenue in Saskatoon to be renamed in honour of famous Saskatchewan Métis fiddler John Arcand.

Researcher Stephanie Danyluk said in a letter to city council that David Lewis MacPherson enacted 'egregious colonial policy decisions' against Saskatoon Métis people.
