Damien Kurek says he has officially resigned as an MP after promising earlier in the spring to vacate his seat in the Battle River—Crowfoot riding for the Conservative leader.

The riding of Battle River–Crowfoot is located in the eastern portion of central Alberta. It includes the communities of Camrose, Flagstaff, Settler and Wainwright.
