The mother of an Abbotsford hit-and-run victim says her son is showing signs of improvement but his recovery will be a long one.

Abbotsford police said a 24-year-old driver presented himself to investigators on Friday in connection with a hit-and-run collision at Hillcrest Avenue and Clearbrook Road Tuesday.
