Nineteen people stuck on a chairlift that malfunctioned were rescued by rope amid freezing temperatures at an Edmonton ski hill on Thursday night.

More than 150 skiers had to be evacuated after the chairlift stalled, with some being lowered down by officials while others jumped from their chairs.
