The rebate, also called the Climate Action Incentive payment, will be applied to people living in provinces where the federal carbon tax is applied starting Monday. 

The Climate Action Incentive Payment (CAIP) is a tax-free amount paid to individuals in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
