A man from Black River First Nation is facing a raft of charges after being arrested in connection with shots fired outside a home in the community Monday morning.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but the home burned to the ground.

In tiny, remote communities across Canada, there are places where, in 2015, you can dial 911 and nobody comes. As fires in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec have shown, the consequences can be fatal.
