The Bank of Canada's first-ever release of its interest rate deliberations shows how its top policymakers weigh the state of the economy in choosing whether to hike rates.

The central bank said it would begin releasing summaries about two weeks after an interest rate decision starting in 2023 in an effort to improve transparency.
