Two years after Myanmar's generals ousted Aung San Suu Kyi's elected government, thousands of people have died in civil conflict and the national economy has slowed.

A court in military-ruled Myanmar convicted the country's ousted leader on more corruption charges, adding six years to her earlier 11-year prison sentence.
