The opening ceremonies took place at Kal-Tire Place on Thursday evening. An estimated 895 athletes from 122 communities across B.C. will compete in 15 sports.

The Games, which are expected to attract up to 1,800 participants in 17 sports competitions, have been moved from February this year to March 23 to 26, 2023.
