MONTREAL – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has announced the recall of two varieties of Viandes Lauzon beef products because of possible E. coli contamination.
They are Viandes Lauzon Lean Ground Beef and Viandes Lauzon Extra Lean Ground Beef.
They have been sold to hotels, restaurants, institutions and daycare facilities in Quebec.

The CFIA warns against using, serving or distributing the recalled products.
The food-safety regulator says the recall was made by their Quebec-based distributor, Groupe Colabor.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the beef.
