Missing Calgary senior found dead: Calgary police

The Calgary Police Service confirmed Friday morning that missing 74-year-old Calgary man had be found dead but his death is not believed to be criminal.

According to police, William Alan Rayton left his home in northeast Calgary on June 10 and failed to return.

Investigators tracked Rayton’s financial records and had reason to believe the missing senior was traveling in the Lethbridge and Cardston regions.

Friday morning, seven days after he was last seen, police announced the investigation had concluded and Rayton was deceased. Details regarding where he was found have not been disclosed.
