Marcus Tabachnick hopes to run in next federal election for Liberal Party

MONTREAL – Former Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB) chair Marcus Tabachnick has announced he hopes to run in the next federal election.

Tabachnick will be seeking the nomination to represent the Liberal Party of Canada in the Pierrefonds-Dollard riding.

“I have missed serving my community and as a long-time resident I understand the issues and needs of this riding,” said Tabachnick in a statement.

A Dollard-des-Ormeaux resident for over 35 years, Tabachnick resigned his position of chairman of the LBPSB in 2011, after serving the school board for almost 25 years.

He has also served as the president of the Quebec English School Boards Association and the Canadian School Boards Association.
