The Victoria man says he did not claim his win right away, so he could take it slow.
“I was out on a Saturday morning, and my wife texted me and said we have won $25 million. I can’t say what my response was. I went home, saw the ticket for myself and sure enough — seven numbers.”
He still has to talk to his boss on Monday, but as of now is still planning to go to work.
Harker says he plays every week. The winning ticket was purchased at the Lottery Ticket Centre in the Bay Centre.
Harker split the $50 million jackpot with another winning ticket sold in the Yukon.
