“Is covering Agribition fun for you, as a reporter?” Marty Seymour, CEO of the Canadian Western Agribition asks me, just before he convinces me to pose for a picture holding a sign that reads, “I’m Keeping it Rural.”
Well, it’s not as fun as going to an actual farm or rural community, but it’s the next best thing. And as a reporter, I’m pretty stoked about it every year. Even as a city dweller, I have a sense of pride in holding that sign. Focus Saskatchewan does try to keep it rural. A show that focuses on Saskatchewan issues has to: agriculture and the traditions it has lent us are so intertwined into the social fabric of this province.
