OPP say a dirt bike rider died following a collision with a vehicle east of Havelock on Sunday evening.
According to Peterborough County OPP, emergency crews around 6 p.m. responded to a collision between a northbound dirt bike and a southbound SUV along Blairton Road in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, about 13 kilometres east of Havelock.

OPP say the driver of the dirt bike, a 33-year-old man from the township, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Blairton Road was closed at Highway 7 as OPP investigated. The roady reopened around 11 p.m. Sunday.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
