1 person taken to hospital after shooting in Toronto

One person has been taken to hospital after a shooting in Toronto, police say.

Toronto police said the incident occurred on Tuesday at 4:24 p.m. in the Martin Grove Road and Finch Avenue West area.

Police said officers received reports of a fight and that gunshots had been heard.

“Multiple people seen fleeing the scene,” officers wrote in a tweet.

Police said a female youth was taken to a trauma centre by a bystander.

She suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries, officers said.

Police are now searching for two suspects.

The first is male, in his 30s. He has dreadlocks with gold tips and was seen wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a black hoodie.

The second suspect is also male and stands between five-foot-11 and six-feet tall. He was seen wearing a blue, white and grey sweater and a cross-body bag.
