London, Ont. robbery leads to serious collision, 3 youths arrested

Three male youths were arrested in connection with a robbery and a serious collision in London, Ont., over the weekend.

The robbery was reported Sunday shortly after 8:15 p.m. at a convenience store in the area of Kipps Lane.

According to police, the suspects fled the store prior to their arrival, but descriptions of the suspects and the vehicle were given to investigators.

Officers later found the vehicle in the area of Adelaide Street North and Victoria Street, and tried to pull it over. Officers say the vehicle fled from police and collided with two other vehicles.

Police say a passenger in an uninvolved vehicle and one of the suspects suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and both were taken to hospital.

An additional passenger and the two other suspects sustained minor injuries.

Adelaide Street North, between Windermere Road and Huron Street, was closed in all directions following the collision. Police wrote on Twitter around 8:15 a.m. Monday that the road had been reopened.
