Winnipeg police investigating homicide after body found at Main Street Salvation Army

Winnipeg police officers responded to a Salvation Army on Main Street around midnight Wednesday after a body was discovered. Police remained on the scene Thursday morning, having taped off large areas of sidewalk around the building – Feb 2, 2023

Winnipeg Police say they’re investigating a homicide after a body was found at the Salvation Army on Main Street.

Officers were called to the building, at Main and Henry Avenue, around midnight, where the body was discovered.

A large area around the building was taped off while police investigated.

By Thursday afternoon, police have not provided any further details about the incident — which has been confirmed to be a homicide investigation — or the deceased, but more information is expected to be released.
