17-year-old boy reported missing in Markham located: police

A 17-year-old boy reported missing in Markham, Ont., has been located, police say.

York Regional Police (YRP) said the boy was reported missing from the Church Street and Ninth Line area at around 11:45 a.m. on Monday.

Officers said a command post had been set up on Parkway Avenue at Morgan Park.

In an update at 5:10 p.m., on Tuesday, YRP said the boy had been located “and is safe.”

“YRP would like to thank all for their concern and assistance,” police wrote in a tweet.
