Truck collision in Saskatoon restricts 33rd Street East

Saskatoon police responded to a collision on 33rd Street East around 8 a.m. on Wedenesday. The incident occurred bewteen a large truck and power infrastructure. Repairs are expected to last for several hours including through rush hour and people should avoid the area, officers say. – Nov 23, 2022

The Saskatoon Police Service says officers were on the scene of a collision on 33rd Street East between Warman Road and Ontario Avenue Wednesday morning.

Police say the collision happened around 8 a.m. and involved a large truck and power infrastructure.

Officers say pedestrian and vehicle traffic in both directions was heavily restricted, and suggested people avoid the area.

Saskatoon police noted that the roadway was expected to remain closed for several hours, including through evening rush hour traffic.

An update at 8:19 a.m. on Thursday from police noted that the roadway was open again.
