18-year-old man facing murder charge in connection homicide at Brantford home on Thursday

An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after a man was killed in Brantford on Thursday evening, according to Brantford police.

They say emergency services were called to a disturbance at a home on Henry Street near Stanley Avenue on Thursday at around 7:30 p.m.

When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, police say they found a 60-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to an area hospital for further treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say they are not releasing the man’s name out of respect to the victim’s family.

Police say Aedyn James Pickering was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with firstdegree murder.
