Man pronounced dead after a hit-and-run near Hamilton Road in London, Ont.

A man involved in a hit and run in London, Ont. around 4:40 a.m. Sunday morning was pronounced dead in hospital.

“Through the course of the investigation, police learned that the male was riding a bicycle at the time of the collision,” said Constable Sandasha Bough. “The suspect may be driving a dark-coloured sedan with significant damage to the front end, hood, and windshield.”

The Traffic Management Unit has opened Hamilton Road following the investigation. The incident happened near Little Grey Street.

“Investigators continue to urge anyone who was on Hamilton Road between 4:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., or who may have dash-cam, residential, or business video that could assist the investigation to contact the London Police,” said Bough.

The name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
