B.C. municipal election 2022: Mackenzie results

Voters in the northern B.C. District of Mackenzie have re-elected incumbent Mayor Joan Atkinson in the 2022 municipal election, Global News projects.

Incumbent councillors Andy Barnes, Vicktor Brumovsky, Raye McMeeken and Amber Hipkiss were also re-elected, along with newcomers Jesse Wright and Kyle Tapper.

Mackenzie is located in one Treaty 8 territory, which includes the Doig River, Fort Nelson, Halfway River, Prophet River, Saulteau, and West Moberly First Nations.
