Incumbent mayor Bill Robertson has kept his seat in Monday’s municipal election.
Robertson handily defeated challenger Larry Albrecht by 700 votes.
Robertson has sat on town council since 1995, and served as mayor for one term. Before becoming mayor in 2010, he was an elementary school teacher.
Okotoks also voted in three new council members: Tanya Thorn, Carrie Fischer and Ken Heemeryck.

Matt Rockley returns to council for a second term after this election, taking 2733 votes, more than any other council hopeful. He is a former town mascot, project planner for Okotoks and currently works as a planner for the City of Calgary.
Long-time councillor Ed Sands is returning for his seventh term. He was first elected in 1995. In additional to his council duties, he is currently a chiropractor and involved in community theatre in Okotoks.
Ray Watrin also returns to council. He is a former CFL player and Grey Cup winner for the Montreal Alouettes and currently works at Keith Motors.
