The body of a 43-year-old woman was found in a fire-ravaged home northeast of Montreal, police said Monday, adding that a man in his 30s with severe burns was under surveillance in hospital.
Provincial police identified the victim as Audrey-Sabrina Gratton, 43, of Sorel-Tracy, Que.

Officers were called just before midnight Sunday to a home on Turcotte Street, a residential neighbourhood of Sorel-Tracy, located about 90 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
A man in his 30s was found by police near the home, but they did not say what link he had with the woman.
Police spokesman Nicolas Scholtus-Champagne said an autopsy will confirm whether the victim died in the fire or in another way.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
