The national unemployment rate edged down 0.2 percentage points to 6.9 per cent in September. Here’s the rate by individual province (previous month in brackets).

Below the provincial tallies is a look at the rate released by Statistics Canada for select Canadian cities, based on a seasonally adjusted, three-month moving average. Statscan cautions the figures may fluctuate widely because they are based on small statistical samples.
