The nine-year-old was pinned under an SUV and people nearby jumped into action to help lift the vehicle off him.

The SUV had crashed with another vehicle, a silver Audi, and that car took off. The 27-year-old driver was located a short time later.

The boy has been released from hospital with a broken ankle and cuts and bruises.
