TORONTO – The cast of Glee will pay tribute to Canadian actor Cory Monteith with cover versions of “If I Die Young,” “I’ll Stand By You,” “Seasons of Love,” “Fire and Rain,” “No Surrender” and “Make You Feel my Love.”
One hundred per cent of net proceeds from sales of the songs in the U.S. and Canada will be donated to Project Limelight, the Vancouver-based arts organization for children that Monteith actively supported.
“We’re so very grateful that they have thought about us,” Project Limelight co-founder Maureen Webb told Global News on Monday night. “It will mean a lot to our kids.”

Alberta-born, B.C.-raised Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on Glee, was found dead July 13 in a Vancouver hotel room from a toxic mix of heroin and champagne. He was 31.
Glee creator Ryan Murphy said recently the special episode was “incredibly difficult to work on” and shoot.
“The episode is called The Quarterback and Cory really was that to that group of people — and to me particularly,” said Murphy.
“He was the most kind, the most generous — never a bad word for anybody.”
Listen to the six songs that will be featured in the special episode, which airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on Global:

“I’ll Stand By You” – Amber Riley as Mercedes
