Salon that makes wigs for cancer patients burglarized for fifth time

Langley RCMP are investigating a particularly disturbing theft.

Someone broke into a salon that caters to women and children with cancer, stealing thousands of dollars worth of hair extensions and wigs.

The shop specializes in hair pieces for women and children who have lost their hair from cancer or disease.

The latest burglary happened on September 17 around 3 a.m.

$3000 worth of wigs and hairpieces were stolen and the thieves fled within minutes.

It’s the fifth time in five years the business has been robbed.

The owner can’t afford the deductible after so many break-ins.

Supporters are working to raise enough money to cover the losses and install security bars.
