Police and emergency vehicles were on scene and asked motorists to find an alternate route, however, just after 4 p.m. RCMP said the area had been cleared and traffic flow had resumed.

This is the second motorcyclist collision in the area in the last week.

On May 1, RCMP said a north-bound motorcycle lost control on Highway 22 north of Redwood Meadows, entered the ditch and rolled.

The driver, a 71-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
