In a press release Friday, the RVH said the outbreak at its 27-bed satellite unit called RVH-IOOF has ended.

According to the release, the decision to declare the outbreak over, was made in collaboration with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

RVH said the outbreak began on April 12. During the outbreak 10 patients, seven RVH staff and one IOFF staff member was infected with norovirus, which causes gastroenteritis.
