Girl, 12, struck and killed by city bus on Montreal’s south shore

Longueuil police are investigating after a 12-year-old girl was fatally hit by a city bus early Wednesday.

The collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Roland-Therrien Boulevard and du Tremblay Road.

Police say the child died at the scene as confirmed by first responders. The victim was initially identified by police as a woman in her 20s.

The bus driver was taken to hospital to be treated for shock.
