Adult Learning Centre gets Fed. funding

The Adult Learning Centre will benefit from Federal government funding.

MP Regina-Qu’Appelle Andrew Scheer made the announcement Tuesday afternoon of almost $133,000 in funding. The money will help youth who face employment barriers develop life and job skills to ease their transition into work. The funding is part of the Canadian government’s Skills Link program which wants to make sure everyone can find a job.

“The adult learning centre does such a great job of helping young people, who don’t have the skills necessary to even enter into the workforce, and they’re provided with training, a lot of personal coaching and the result is they enter the work force,” said Scheer.
