Car catches on fire at Canadian Tire

A car in the mechanics area of Canadian Tire on North Albert caught on fire this morning.

At 6:33 a.m. the fire department received a call from the alarm company that monitors the building. A minute later an employee at the store called 911.

"When our crews arrived, fortunately they were able to contain the fire to the vehicle where the fire started," said Angela Prawzick, Spokeswoman for the Regina Fire Department.

According to Prawzick there were a dozen other vehicles in the building, but none of them were damaged.

The fire is still under investigation.
