SASKATOON – A Saskatoon accountant has been given a nine-month conditional sentence for income tax evasion.
Robert L. Tiffen, 70, has also been fined nearly $50,000, which represents all the money involved in the crime.

The Canada Revenue Agency says Tiffen was found guilty of understating his net professional income by more than 204-thousand dollars from 2004 to 2007.
The jail sentence is to be served in the community.
