Ryan’s experience derives from growing up and working in Eastern Canada, starting with Rogers TV in York Region where he volunteered as a videographer. After interning at CBC News World and Global News Toronto, Ryan moved west, working at CTV Yorkton as a video journalist and anchor before joining the Global Regina team in 2009.
Ryan graduated from the University of Toronto, where he majored in history and had a double minor in English Literature and East Asian Studies. He also completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Centennial College.
He had his first article published in a local newspaper when he was sixteen years old and decided to pursue his dream to be a journalist. Ryan is very proud of his Korean heritage. His interests include discovering new restaurants, reading at coffee shops and catching live shows.
