VERNON, B.C. – Wasps — not gawkers or paparazzi — appear to be the biggest problem on the set of a Disney movie shoot in British Columbia’s North Okanagan.

“Tomorrowland,” starring George Clooney and Hugh Laurie, began filming 10 days ago around the communities of Armstrong and Enderby.

John Trainor of the Okanagan Film Commission says the production team has been filming most of the time on a closed set located in a farm field.

He says the only problem has been wasps, but he says many people in the area are also having issues with the insects.

The first part of the shoot is expected to wrap up soon, but Trainor says the crew will return in September or October to finish up the movie. (CKIZ)
