VANCOUVER – The two victims of a fiery accident between a car and a logging truck on Highway 97 south of Quesnel last week have been identified.
52-year-old Jiping Fang of Sherwood Park, Alberta and 61-year-old Larry Leonard Kropp of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta were killed in the crash on August 28.
Fang was driving a rental car with Kropp in the passenger seat when the accident occurred.

RCMP say their rental car was heading southbound when it crossed into the path of a northbound chip truck,
The two vehicles collided head-on.
Witnesses say the rental car was attempting to pass at the time.
The truck pushed the car down the road about 100 yards. It burst into flames afterwards.
The Coroner says both men died in the blaze.
The fire was so fierce it spread into the nearby forest. A helicopter was brought in to help extinguish the blaze.
The truck driver was shaken up but not injured.
