Emergency crews were called to a park near the area just before 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening.

“We received reports that occupants of two vehicles were seen shooting at each other and this caused multiple people who were in the park at the time to duck and take cover,” Cst. Laura Brabant said.

Police say the father of the victim was driving in the area when a stray bullet shot through the car and into his son’s upper leg.
