Winnipeg man dies in rollover near Lac du Bonnet

A 45-year-old Winnipeg man is dead following a single-vehicle rollover in the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet on Thursday night.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were sent to the crash at the junction of Provincial Road 313 and Provincial Road 520 just before 10:30 p.m.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 40-year-old Winnipeg man, was taken to hospital in Winnipeg with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate.
