There are still many concerned residents after a massive flare up at the Suncor refinery yesterday. Thick black smoke filled the air after a disruption to it’s hydrogen supply apparently forced Suncor to shut down some production units. The company says it’s monitoring air quality and has notified Alberta Environment as a precaution. There are questions as to whether this will affect gas production. Suncor officials say they are still looking into the matter. Back in February there was concern among residents after a propane leak at the Imperial Oil upgrader.
